Prayer as holy light!

The Baal Shem Tov had a beautiful teaching on a famous verse from the story of Noah and the ark. "Make yourself an ark " G-d tells Noah and cover it with gopher wood etc. Then G-d tells Noach "Tzohar taase latayva" you shall make windows on the top of the ark" That is the level of Pshat/basic understanding. Then the Baal Shemtov steps in and sees a a different Kabbalah truth to this verse. The word Tsohar has an additional meaning....Light! The word tayvah ,ark has another meaning as well ....word! So now ,reread the verse "Tzohar taase latayva ",now means BRING LIGHT TO YOUR WORDS !!!!! This is what the FRIDAY PROJECT is all about. Our collective singing brings a whole new light to the words of the Kabbalat Shabbat . I hope to see you all this Sunday ,(at our own neigborhood Shul -ARK )on Burrill street and join in the fun at our second workshop as we collectively install our spiritual" Tsohar window of light onto the tayvah /words of prayer " !!!!!
